Last Friday marked the kick-off of the Blues Friday Night League, and the Polmonthill Race Team couldn't have asked for a better start. Despite the chilly weather and frozen feet, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm as our young racers hit the slopes at Bearsden. In Division 3, it was Martin who stole the show, bringing home a well-deserved win in the individual races for Polmonthill. Fleur, too, gave a stellar performance in a fiercely competitive individual race against a Bellahouston girl, showcasing the incredible talent within our team. Callum, Isaac, Cammy and Lucy fought hard too, and it is looking promising for the next few races! Keep up the good work!
The Division 4 boys and girls teams showed tremendous spirit as they took on both individual and relay races. Although victory escaped us on this occasion, the slopes echoed with cheers and smiles, a testament to the team spirit that define our young team. Notably, it was the first racing experience for some of our Division 4 racers, and their clear runs and the fun they had made for a great event. Well done Gabby, Elsie, Andrew, Ansen, Charlie and Logan!
We are pleased to announce that Coach Bailey will provide his invaluable race support to our team next week, ensuring our racers continue to develop and excel. Thank you Bailey!
As always, a big congratulations goes out to all of our skiers who gave their best on Friday. We also extend another thank you to the parents for their continued support and cheers from the slope's side. We hope everyone managed to thaw out by the time they got home, and we can't wait to do it all over again this coming Friday.
